{"id":384988,"date":"2021-08-17T19:14:57","date_gmt":"2021-08-17T18:14:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=384988"},"modified":"2021-08-17T19:21:30","modified_gmt":"2021-08-17T18:21:30","slug":"oyo-police-begins-investigation-into-death-of-commercial-motorcyclist-in-ibadan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=384988","title":{"rendered":"Oyo Police begins investigation into death of commercial motorcyclist in Ibadan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Oyo State Police Command on Tuesday said it has commenced investigation to unravel the circumstances that lead to the death of a commercial motorcyclist in Ibadan.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST gathered on Tuesday that a commercial motorcyclist identified as Olu Popoola was on Monday hit by a car.<\/p>\n<p>Our correspondent learnt that the incident occurred at Wajawaja junction along the Apete-Akufo Road in Ibadan Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that Popoola was hit by a car and died as a result of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Mr. Adewale Osifeso when contacted, confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Osifeso in his reaction told DAILY POST that the police has commenced investigation into the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Osifeso said, \u201cThe Unfortunate incident which led to the death of the deceased, one Olu Popoola was reported on Monday 16\/08\/2021 at about 1645HRS.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the incident, please.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Oyo State Police Command on Tuesday said it has commenced investigation to unravel the circumstances that lead to the death of a commercial motorcyclist in Ibadan.
