{"id":379438,"date":"2021-07-31T22:00:24","date_gmt":"2021-07-31T21:00:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=379438"},"modified":"2021-07-31T22:00:59","modified_gmt":"2021-07-31T21:00:59","slug":"ive-no-joy-governing-katsina-state-masari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=379438","title":{"rendered":"I\u2019ve no joy governing Katsina State \u2013 Masari"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, has said that he has no joy governing a state plagued by insecurity.<\/p>\n<p>Masari said the security situation in Katsina has been giving him sleepless nights.<\/p>\n<p>The governor made this known during an interview with DW Hausa on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST reports that this is coming less than a week after scores of armed bandits on motorbikes blocked Jibiya-Batsari road in Kabobi village, Katsina, after the Juma\u2019at prayers and made away with 11 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cIn this difficult time and uncertainty, all the issues of governance have been dominated by security matters from sunset to dawn. I receive security reports at any moment through many channels daily.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo sensible leader who has the feelings of his people at heart will be happy in such a situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoverning in this difficult time, I see no joy that people are saying we are enjoying.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cIn this kind of situation, we are having sleepless nights. You only have a few hours to sleep with your phone beneath your ears and whoever calls you at midnight won\u2019t do that to greet you but to tell you a problem that is happening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople misunderstood us (governors) as people enjoying themselves.
