{"id":379390,"date":"2021-07-31T18:03:46","date_gmt":"2021-07-31T17:03:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=379390"},"modified":"2021-07-31T18:08:41","modified_gmt":"2021-07-31T17:08:41","slug":"amotekun-kill-two-kidnappers-in-oyo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=379390","title":{"rendered":"Amotekun Kill Two Kidnappers In Oyo"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Two kidnappers were reportedly killed by men of the South-West security network codenamed Amotekun in the Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State.<br \/>\n<span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\nSaharaReporters gathered on Saturday that the two suspects were killed during a failed kidnap attempt by the kidnappers who stormed Iwere-Ile town on Friday.<br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2021\/07\/Amotekun-Kill-Two-Kidnappers-In-Oyo.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\nIt was learnt that operatives of Amotekun Corps, who were called when the kidnappers stormed the town, engaged the kidnappers and killed two of them.<br \/>\nWitnesses stated that the kidnappers stormed the community around 3pm on Friday and made an attempt to kidnap some of the residents.<br \/>\nIt was gathered that immediately the Amotekun operatives got to the scene at about 3:30pm, they engaged the hoodlums in a gun battle, killing two.<br \/>\nThree other members of the kidnap syndicate escaped with bullet injuries.<br \/>\nThe Amotekun Commandant, Olayinka Olayanju confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Saturday.<br \/>\nHe maintained that weapons were recovered from the suspected kidnappers.<br \/>\nHe added that the weapons had been deposited with the police.<br \/>\nOlayanju noted that the operation was carried out in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters.<\/div>\n<p><strong><em>(SaharaReporters)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two kidnappers were reportedly killed by men of the South-West security network codenamed Amotekun in the Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State.
