{"id":376321,"date":"2021-07-22T10:44:24","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T09:44:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=376321"},"modified":"2021-07-22T11:27:59","modified_gmt":"2021-07-22T10:27:59","slug":"restructure-nigeria-before-2023-afenifere-charges-buhari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=376321","title":{"rendered":"Restructure Nigeria before 2023 &#8211; Afenifere charges Buhari"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere has called on the Nigerian government to restructure the country within the shortest possible time.<\/p>\n<p>Afenifere\u2019s National Publicity Secretary, Jare Ajayi, said the Federal Government should restructure Nigeria before the 2023 general elections.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking exclusively with DAILY POST, Ajayi said Nigerians would place less concentration on who becomes the president with restructuring in place.<\/p>\n<p>Why Nigeria will continue to suffer \u2013 Afenifere<\/p>\n<p>Ajayi explained that with restructuring, insecurity would be better handled by the regions.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ajayi: \u201cBut we in Afenifere that is not our concern, our concern is justice, fairness and good governance. It is in this sense that we are insisting on restructuring which must happen before the 2023 elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf that happens, it would not matter much anymore who is at the centre, so long as the other parts of the country are in charge of their own affairs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey would be able to take care of the resources within their area.
