{"id":363591,"date":"2021-06-13T18:18:21","date_gmt":"2021-06-13T17:18:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=363591"},"modified":"2021-06-13T19:04:17","modified_gmt":"2021-06-13T18:04:17","slug":"lampard-finally-reacts-to-chelsea-winning-champions-league-under-tuchel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=363591","title":{"rendered":"Lampard finally reacts to Chelsea winning Champions League under Tuchel"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Frank Lampard has finally spoken about his former club Chelsea winning the Champions League this year.<\/p>\n<p>The 42-year-old was sacked as manager of the Blues in January and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.<\/p>\n<p>Tuchel then went on to win Europe\u2019s biggest trophy within his first six months.<\/p>\n<p>Lampard has now admitted it was bittersweet to see Chelsea succeed on the continent.<\/p>\n<p>Lampard, appearing on BBC One as a pundit for England\u2019s Euro 2020 opener against Croatia, said: \u201cYeah when you work towards something you want to be there, you want to be the manager and I\u2019m never going to try and lay claim on that. I was part of the early foundation potentially but Thomas did a fantastic job getting them there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will say when I watched it, first I\u2019m a Chelsea person, Chelsea fans are happy and the club deserves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut secondly to see Mason and Reece perform at that level, people like Mendy, Thiago and Chilwell, who came in in my time makes me pretty proud.
