{"id":358802,"date":"2021-05-30T23:51:33","date_gmt":"2021-05-30T22:51:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=358802"},"modified":"2021-05-30T23:56:15","modified_gmt":"2021-05-30T22:56:15","slug":"2023-nobody-can-impose-candidate-on-us-in-rivers-wike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=358802","title":{"rendered":"2023: Nobody can impose candidate on us in Rivers &#8211; Wike"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has vowed to resist any attempt by politicians from Abuja to impose anybody as next governor in the state.<\/p>\n<p>He spoke at a special thanksgiving church service on Sunday to mark the second anniversary of his administration\u2019s second tenure at St Paul\u2019s Cathedral, Diobu, Port Harcourt, the state capital.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, the governor said: \u201cLet me say it again, I have never sat with anybody to say I will make you governor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, as a governor, nobody from anywhere, be it in the party, in Abuja, will impose who will be the candidate of PDP in Rivers state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNobody can impose a candidate here in this state.
