{"id":357748,"date":"2021-05-28T08:46:17","date_gmt":"2021-05-28T07:46:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=357748"},"modified":"2021-05-28T08:48:20","modified_gmt":"2021-05-28T07:48:20","slug":"new-coas-all-top-security-positions-occupied-by-fulani-nnamdi-kanu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=357748","title":{"rendered":"New COAS: All top security positions occupied by Fulani &#8211; Nnamdi Kanu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has reacted to the appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya as the new Chief Of Army Staff.<br \/>\nDAILY POST had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday approved the appointment of General Yahaya as Nigeria\u2019s new COAS.<br \/>\nGeneral Farouk Yahaya was appointed to replace the former COAS, Late Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru who died last week in an ill-fated military aircraft that crashed at the Kaduna Airport.<br \/>\nAttahriu died alongside ten other military officers and were subsequently interred at the military cemetery in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.<br \/>\nReacting to the appointment of the new COAS, the IPOB leader accused President Buhari of being nepotistic in the appointment of security chiefs.<br \/>\nKanu alleged that all top security positions in the country have been occupied by Fulani men since Buhari\u2019s administration began.<br \/>\nThe Biafra freedom fighter made his reaction known in a recent tweet on his official Twitter handle.<br \/>\nThe tweet reads, \u201cThis is how they roll. Quite frankly, they don\u2019t give a damn.
