{"id":350384,"date":"2021-05-10T23:04:59","date_gmt":"2021-05-10T22:04:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=350384"},"modified":"2021-05-10T23:15:31","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T22:15:31","slug":"ogun-two-shot-dead-during-robbery-operations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=350384","title":{"rendered":"Ogun: Two shot dead during robbery operations"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Two men, who were suspected to be armed robbers have been shot dead on Sunday by the police at the Sagamu interchange axis of the Lagos-Ibadan highway, Ogun State.<\/p>\n<p>The DPO of Sagamu division, CSP Okiki Agunbiade had received a distress call at about 9 pm, that a robbery operation was going on at the area and that one of their victims had been bady injured.<\/p>\n<p>Upon the distress call, the DPO was said to have quickly led a patrol team to the scene where they met the robbers attacking one Agba Enoch.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST gathered that a gun battle ensued between the police and the armed robbers, leading to the death of two members of the gang, others, however, escaped with gun shot injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the incident, Ogun police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said one Adekunle Adewale, \u201cwho was seriously matcheted on the head by the suspects\u201d was rushed to hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has ordered a massive manhunt for the fleeing members of the gang, appealing to the public, especially hospitals, to report anybody with gun shot injuries to the police immediately.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two men, who were suspected to be armed robbers have been shot dead on Sunday by the police at the Sagamu interchange axis of the Lagos-Ibadan highway, Ogun State.
