The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibadan Zonal Office has confirmed the arrest of a Bitcoin trader in Ibadan the Oyo State capital over alleged involvement in cybercrime.<\/p>\n
The EFCC\u2019s spokesperson, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, made this known in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n
He said the bitcoin trader was arrested alongside four others who were linked to the same crime.<\/p>\n
Uwujaren noted that the five suspects whose ages ranged from 21 to 37, were picked up from two locations at Elebu area in Ibadan.<\/p>\n
He stated that the arrest followed an intelligence by some residents over their suspicious activities.<\/p>\n
Uwujaren said the items recovered from the suspects included two cars, laptops, phones and some documents.<\/p>\n
