{"id":341060,"date":"2021-04-18T13:15:28","date_gmt":"2021-04-18T12:15:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=341060"},"modified":"2021-04-18T13:38:38","modified_gmt":"2021-04-18T12:38:38","slug":"epl-thomas-tuchel-sets-next-big-target-warns-chelsea-players-after-1-0-win-over-man-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=341060","title":{"rendered":"EPL: Thomas Tuchel sets next big target, warns Chelsea players after 1-0 win over Man City"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has told his players that their next big target is to win the next Premier League match.<br \/>\nHe warned his stars against looking too far ahead and insists their \u2018next big target\u2019 is simply to win the next match.<br \/>\nChelsea overcame the high-flying Manchester City side 1-0 in their FA Cup semi-final encounter on Saturday evening, ending Pep Guardiola\u2019s hopes of winning the quadruple this season.<br \/>\nChelsea have put themselves in positions to win two trophies \u2013 in the FA Cup and Champions League this season with a top-four finish also within their reach.<br \/>\nSpeaking to the press after their success against City, Tuchel warned his players saying, \u201cDon\u2019t start thinking too way ahead, don\u2019t put your stakes too high, don\u2019t look at the goals which are in the future to reach.<br \/>\n\u201cIn top level football and top level sports, you need to be ready to constantly go forward, to constantly progress.<br \/>\n\u201cMe as a manager, we as a staff and in the end every player in this club needs to totally commit to this approach of sports at the highest level.<br \/>\n\u201cThis is what we do, this is what I demand of myself and this is what I demand of everybody in the staff and what I feel from everybody in the staff and the team.<br \/>\n\u201cThis is the point, if you want to reach objectives, if you want to climb a mountain, you better start going. Just thinking about the top does not bring you nowhere. You need to walk.<br \/>\n\u201cEvery journey starts with a first step and this is what you need to do. So don\u2019t get confused by thinking too much, don\u2019t get irritated or maybe be too shy that you don\u2019t wish for too much.<br \/>\n\u201cTake it step by step. Today it was the target to close the gap to Manchester City for 90 minutes completely.
