Barcelona manager, Ronald Koeman, has hailed Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, as the most important man in the club\u2019s history.<\/p>\n
Koeman said this while reacting to Messi equaling the Barcelona legend, Xavi Hernandez\u2019s all-time appearance record for the Blaugrana.<\/p>\n
Recall Messi made his 767th outing for Barcelona in Monday\u2019s 4-1 victory over Huesca in the LaLiga at the Camp Nou to match Xavi\u2019s record for appearances.<\/p>\n
The Argentine\u2019s brace and a strike from Antoine Griezmann and Oscar Mingueza gave Koeman\u2019s men all three points against Huesca.<\/p>\n
Reacting, Koeman said at a post-match press conference after the game, \u201cI cannot say more about Leo.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe level he has for many years, many games. He has equalled Xavi, and on Sunday, in principle, he will surpass him.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is the most important man in the history of Barca. Luckily he is still with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
