{"id":307416,"date":"2021-01-24T18:43:17","date_gmt":"2021-01-24T17:43:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=307416"},"modified":"2021-01-24T19:06:49","modified_gmt":"2021-01-24T18:06:49","slug":"senator-nwaogu-mourns-abia-monarch-eze-enweremadu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=307416","title":{"rendered":"Senator Nwaogu mourns Abia monarch, Eze Enweremadu"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Pro-chancellor and chairman, Governing Board University of Calabar, (Unical) in Cross Rivers State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Nkechi Nwogu is saddened on the passage of Eze Benard Enweremadu.<br \/>\nSenator Nwaogu expressed huge shock over the demise of the revered monarch, adding that the death had created a huge vacuum that no one can fill except by the divine intervention of God.<br \/>\nThe Pro-chancellor, who spoke in a condolence message made available to newsmen in Umuahia, on Sunday, said Enweremadu died at a turbulent time when Abia State, Igbo land and Nigeria needed his elderly advice.<br \/>\nDAILY POST, on Saturday, reported that a foremost traditional ruler in Nigeria and Eze Ukwu of Ngwa land, Eze Dr Bernard Enweremadu passed on at the age of 77.<br \/>\nAnnouncing the death of the foremost traditional ruler in Ngwa Ukwu in Isialangwa North LGA, the eldest son and former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Christopher Enweremadu said his father died on the 17th of January at the age of 77.<br \/>\nRecall that late Eze Bernard Enweremadu became a traditional ruler at the age of 33.<br \/>\nAccording to the Pro-chancellor in her condolence message, \u201cthe contributions of our highly respected Monarch is very conspicuous and will be greatly be missed by the Good people of Abia State, Nigeria as a country and the World globally.<br \/>\n\u201cThe death of the septuagenarian and traditional institution of culture and tradition is a twilight at dawn and one death too many. He Is Not Dead. I cannot say, and I will not say that he is dead. He is just away. With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand.<br \/>\n\u201cHe has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming how very fair. It needs must be, since he lingers there. And you\u2014oh you, who the wildest yearn. For an old-time step, and the glad return, think of him faring on, as dear<br \/>\nIn the love of there as the love of here. Think of him still as the same.
