Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, has faulted the call that Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Kukah should leave the state, following his Christmas message.<\/p>\n
The Muslim Solidarity Forum, Sokoto, had advised Kukah to quietly leave Sokoto or stop what it termed \u201chis malicious vituperations against Islam and Muslims\u201d.<\/p>\n
The group also called on Bishop Kukah to tender unreserved apology to the Muslim community.<\/p>\n
Reacting, Fani-Kayode insisted that Bishop Kukah did not attack Muslims in his Christmas message, hence has nothing to apologise for.<\/p>\n
In a series of tweets, Fani-Kayode wrote:<\/p>\n
\u201cBishop Hassan Kukah did not attack Islam and has nothing to apologise about.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has always sought for religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence between Christians and Muslims. Those that demand that he, \u201cmust apologise\u201d or \u201cleave Sokoto\u201d must mind their utterances and keep the peace.<\/p>\n
