{"id":303115,"date":"2021-01-13T11:42:18","date_gmt":"2021-01-13T10:42:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=303115"},"modified":"2021-01-13T11:42:42","modified_gmt":"2021-01-13T10:42:42","slug":"bishop-kukah-wont-apologise-leave-sokoto-fani-kayode","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=303115","title":{"rendered":"Bishop Kukah won\u2019t apologise, leave Sokoto \u2013 Fani-Kayode"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister, has faulted the call that Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Kukah should leave the state, following his Christmas message.<\/p>\n<p>The Muslim Solidarity Forum, Sokoto, had advised Kukah to quietly leave Sokoto or stop what it termed \u201chis malicious vituperations against Islam and Muslims\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The group also called on Bishop Kukah to tender unreserved apology to the Muslim community.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting, Fani-Kayode insisted that Bishop Kukah did not attack Muslims in his Christmas message, hence has nothing to apologise for.<\/p>\n<p>In a series of tweets, Fani-Kayode wrote:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBishop Hassan Kukah did not attack Islam and has nothing to apologise about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe has always sought for religious tolerance and peaceful co-existence between Christians and Muslims.
