{"id":301731,"date":"2021-01-09T16:26:07","date_gmt":"2021-01-09T15:26:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=301731"},"modified":"2021-01-09T16:27:14","modified_gmt":"2021-01-09T15:27:14","slug":"insecurity-police-orders-deployment-of-operatives-on-kaduna-birnin-gwari-highway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=301731","title":{"rendered":"Insecurity: police orders deployment of operatives on Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State, Mr Umar Muri has ordered the immediate deployment of more operatives on Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway to tackle banditry and kidnapping in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, ASP Muhammad Jalige made this known in a statement released on Saturday, NAN reports.<\/p>\n<p>Jalige explained that the deployment of personnel to the highway was to curb the recent upsurge in banditry, kidnapping, and other heinous activities in the area.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the move would help restore public confidence particularly in the affected communities and among road users.<\/p>\n<p>According to Jalige, conventional police officers, Police Mobile Force, men of Operation Puff Adder, the Anti-Kidnapping unit, and undercover operatives are among personnel deployed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will improve and make safe the socio-economic environment and activities for the teeming populace,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe commiserate with the families of victims of armed robbery and banditry, and pray that the Almighty God would grant them the fortitude to bear the losses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe command is also calling on all and sundry to assist the Police in ensuring that criminalities are brought to the barest minimum not only along Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway but the State in general,\u2019\u2019 the commissioner was quoted to have said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State, Mr Umar Muri has ordered the immediate deployment of more operatives on Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway to tackle banditry and kidnapping in the area.
