{"id":296492,"date":"2020-12-24T21:34:40","date_gmt":"2020-12-24T20:34:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=296492"},"modified":"2020-12-24T21:35:03","modified_gmt":"2020-12-24T20:35:03","slug":"how-i-received-news-of-sam-nda-isaiahs-death-buhari","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=296492","title":{"rendered":"How I received news of Sam Nda-Isaiah&#8217;s death &#8211; Buhari"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">President Muhammadu Buhari says he was shocked and speechless when he received information about Sam Nda-Isaiah\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>This is contained in his condolence letter to the family on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The Nigerian leader urged them to uphold the family\u2019s name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the Federal Government and my family, I sincerely express my condolence on the sudden transition of my friend and ally, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah, Publisher of Leadership Newspapers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndeed, Sam\u2019s untimely passage filled me with shock and sadness to the point that I was lost for words when the news reached me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The president added that he will miss the deceased.<\/p>\n<p>He described Nda-Isaiah as a massive fish gone out of the media ocean and the political arena.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI condole with the Nda-Isaiah family, media fraternity and all who mourn this man of conviction, a resolute and dogged believer in a better country. Nigeria has no doubt lost an exemplary gentleman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Buhari prayed that God Almighty consoles Sam\u2019s family, friends and associates and grants his soul peaceful rest.<\/p>\n<p>His letter was delivered to Sam\u2019s younger brother, Abraham, by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media; Sarki Abba, Senior Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs, and State Chief of Protocol, Ambassador Lawal Kazaure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Muhammadu Buhari says he was shocked and speechless when he received information about Sam Nda-Isaiah\u2019s death.
