The Onibudo of Ayetoro-Budo, Ayetoro, Ogun State, Oba Adewunmi Adeniji Odutala, has called on Nigerians to ceaselessly pray for the country to forestall a violent revolution next year.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He spoke at this year\u2019s Festival of Praise tagged: \u2018King of Kings,\u2019 held at his palace in Aiyetoro, Ogun State.<\/p>\n

Odutala noted that the hardship in the country was becoming unbearable, adding that youths were angry.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople are suffering, and the country is sitting on a keg of gun powder. Youths are angry and when the youths are angry, the country is on fire. Things are not moving fine, many graduates every year without having jobs. We believe it should be better than this. Nigeria can be better than this, we have all it takes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Bemoaning poor leadership, he called on the government to take proactive steps to forestall any form of violent revolution.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must pray for Nigeria so that there won\u2019t be a negative intervention in government. There is a revolution at the back door of this country, we must pray for Nigeria and Nigerians. It must not happen, I saw a bloody revolution, and the government must take proactive measures to protect lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are enjoying this democracy, no matter how good a military government can be, you cannot compare it with democracy, so let us pray for Nigeria. 2021 might be a very tough year, we have to pray. If we are able to stand as one Nigeria, 2021 till June 2022, we will have Nigeria for the rest of our lives. I don\u2019t pray we go back to where we have left a very long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the annual Festival of Praise, the monarch said it was divinely inspired and thanked God for making this year\u2019s edition a success.<\/p>\n

The colourful event witnessed thrills and side-attractions as various gospel artistes held the crowd spellbound with soul-lifting music.<\/p>\n

The gospel artistes included African Praise Apostle, Bois Olohun, Mosunmola Pearl, JPraise Anointed among others.<\/p>\n

Ayetoro-Budo Mass Choir also performed at the event.<\/p>\n

In attendance were monarchs from Ogun and Lagos states, including Oba Joshua Akinlolu, Olu Egbado Ajegunle; Oba Samuel Olukayode Sodimu, Olu Isunre Olorunsogo; Oba Sofela Olalekan, Olu Olomowewe; Oba Ismaila Razak Sokunbi, Olu Agbamaya; Oba Olayinka Akanni Akinsanya, Olu Pata Orile; Oba Modiu Alalade, Olu Magboro Aperan; Oba Israel Kolawole Ajani, Olu Ipaja among others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
