{"id":291205,"date":"2020-12-10T07:31:29","date_gmt":"2020-12-10T06:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=291205"},"modified":"2020-12-10T07:32:07","modified_gmt":"2020-12-10T06:32:07","slug":"ncdc-confirms-474-new-covid-19-cases-in-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=291205","title":{"rendered":"NCDC confirms 474 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed that 474 new COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, taking the country\u2019s total figure to 70,669 cases.<\/p>\n<p>The NCDC disclosed this via its verified website late on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The 474 new COVID-19 cases were recorded from sixteen States and the FCT.<\/p>\n<p>The NCDC stated that 132 patients were discharged after recovering from the infection from isolation centres nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>The health agency said, however, that the country\u2019s COVID-19 related deaths is 1,182.<\/p>\n<p>According to NCDC, FCT, Lagos, Kebbi, Adamawa, and Plateau recorded the highest number of COVID-19 infections with 180, 134, 45, 26 and 16 cases, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The other states recorded the disease as follows: Enugu-14, Taraba-14, Gombe-12, Nasarawa-8, Yobe-8, Rivers-5, Ogun-5, Kwara-2, Ekiti-2, Sokoto-2 and Osun-1.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed that 474 new COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, taking the country\u2019s total figure to 70,669 cases.
