{"id":290496,"date":"2020-12-08T14:44:29","date_gmt":"2020-12-08T13:44:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=290496"},"modified":"2020-12-08T14:46:23","modified_gmt":"2020-12-08T13:46:23","slug":"insecurity-216-nigerians-killed-144-kidnapped-in-november-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=290496","title":{"rendered":"Insecurity: 216 Nigerians Killed, 144 Kidnapped In November\u2014Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>No fewer than 216 Nigerians were killed in November, and 144 others kidnapped amid the rising insecurity in the country, according to data gathered by the Civic Media Lab.<br \/>\n<span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The data released on Monday showed that the Northern part of the country was the worst hit with its areas claiming 180 of the 216 deaths recorded within the period.<br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2020\/12\/Insecurity-216-Nigerians-Killed-144-Kidnapped-In-November\u2014Report.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also, Borno State, which has been the epicentre of the Boko Haram insurgency, suffered the most attacks from the terrorists which claimed 131 people, including the highest single attack which claimed 110 lives. <\/p>\n<p>A release by the Civil Media Lab said, \u201cInsecurity in Nigeria keeps increasing instead of decreasing. Death now looks like a norm in Nigeria, most especially the northern part of the country. The data gathered by the civic media lab for November shows the rate at which death occurred in November and how kidnapping is slowly rising in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe attack was faced mostly by the Northern region of the country, 180 of the 216 deaths were from the Northern part. Over 216 deaths were recorded for November with 144 people kidnapped and several injured during the incidents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBorno State suffered attacks from Boko Haram killing over 131 people with the highest death in an attack at 110. Kaduna recorded several bandits and gunmen attacks leading to 22 deaths.
