{"id":289881,"date":"2020-12-06T20:27:17","date_gmt":"2020-12-06T19:27:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=289881"},"modified":"2020-12-06T20:27:39","modified_gmt":"2020-12-06T19:27:39","slug":"abia-governor-suspends-chief-of-staff-agbazuere-after-spraying-cash-on-controversial-pastor-odumeje","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=289881","title":{"rendered":"Abia Governor Suspends Chief Of Staff Agbazuere After Spraying Cash On Controversial Pastor Odumeje"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has suspended his chief of staff, Anthony Agbazuere.<\/p>\n<p>This was announced in a terse statement on Sunday.<br \/>\n<span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-png view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2020\/12\/Abia-Governor-Suspends-Chief-Of-Staff-Agbazuere-After-Spraying-Cash.png\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The statement was signed by the secretary to the state government, Chris Ezem.<\/p>\n<p>It noted that Agbazuere\u2019s suspension takes immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dAbia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has directed the immediate suspension from office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr ACB Agbazuere,\u201d the short statement read.<\/p>\n<p>The suspension was announced a few hours after a video surfaced online showing Agbazuere spraying money in his office on Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje.<\/p>\n<p>The CoS had since the video surfaced online become the target of public outrage on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the video trending online, \u2018Indaboski\u2019 and \u2018Abia\u2019 were among the Nigerian trends on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>The video showed Agbazuere spraying naira notes on a dancing Odumeje in a place believed to be his (CoS) office.<\/p>\n<p>Odumeje is a famous and controversial Onitsha-based clergyman.<\/p>\n<p>The preacher is the leader of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention Deliverance Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>He became famous in 2019 when he described himself as \u2018the liquid metal\u2019, \u2018the war\u2019, and \u2018the indaboski pahose\u2019 among others in viral videos in 2019.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has suspended his chief of staff, Anthony Agbazuere.
