{"id":287598,"date":"2020-11-30T22:52:49","date_gmt":"2020-11-30T21:52:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=287598"},"modified":"2020-11-30T22:53:28","modified_gmt":"2020-11-30T21:53:28","slug":"insecurity-six-us-tucano-aircraft-ready-for-delivery-says-nigerian-air-force","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=287598","title":{"rendered":"Insecurity: Six US Tucano Aircraft Ready For Delivery, Says Nigerian Air Force"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>The Nigerian Air Force on Monday said the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft project expected from the United States to combat the security challenges in the country is on track, adding that six of them are now ready for delivery.<br \/>\n<span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The military noted that six Nigerian pilots, along with 26 NAF engineers, technicians and logisticians were undergoing training in the US ahead of the delivery.<br \/>\n<span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2020\/11\/Insecurity-Six-US-Tucano-Aircraft-Ready-For-Delivery-Says-Nigerian.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Another set of 35 personnel is also scheduled to join them early next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe contractual agreement between the Nigerian government and the United States for the supply of 12 A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, for which payment has been made, is not in jeopardy as being insinuated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor the avoidance of doubts, it is necessary to state that the A-29 Super Tucano aircraft project is on track to be delivered on schedule and in accordance with the terms of the contract. Currently, six of the expected 12 aircraft have been produced and are presently being employed for conversion training of six NAF pilots who are in the US.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnother set of 35 personnel are also scheduled to join them early next year.
