{"id":286751,"date":"2020-11-28T15:55:32","date_gmt":"2020-11-28T14:55:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=286751"},"modified":"2020-11-28T16:08:43","modified_gmt":"2020-11-28T15:08:43","slug":"police-arrest-man-for-alleged-kidnap-murder-of-teenager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=286751","title":{"rendered":"Police arrest man for alleged kidnap, murder of teenager"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Police Command in Kano State has arrested one Anas Sa\u2019idu for allegedly kidnapping and murdering a 16-year-old boy, Tijjani Kabiru, at Kwanar Gwarmai Village in the Bebeji Local Government Area of the state.<br \/>\nThe spokesman of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, stated this in a statement on Saturday in Kano.<br \/>\nHaruna said the command, on Nov. 9 received a complaint from the victim\u2019s father, Alhaji Kabiru, that his son, Tijjani, was kidnapped at Kwanar Gwarmai, Kwanar Dangora town in Bebeji.<br \/>\nHe said the suspect demanded N1.3 million ransom and N20,000 MTN recharge card from the victim\u2019s parents.<br \/>\nAccording to him, the suspect was arrested by men of Operation Puff Adder on Nov. 23 at Kwanar Gwarmai Village in Bebeji.<br \/>\nHe further revealed that preliminary investigations showed that the suspect, who resided within the same neighbourhood with the victim, invited him to a farmland and then kidnapped him.<br \/>\n\u201cHe strangled the victim to death.
