{"id":282163,"date":"2020-11-16T12:07:14","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:07:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=282163"},"modified":"2020-11-16T12:07:39","modified_gmt":"2020-11-16T11:07:39","slug":"covid-19-lagos-records-136-as-cases-rise-to-65148","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=282163","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Lagos records 136 as cases rise to 65,148"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Lagos State has again confirmed the highest number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday confirmed 152 new infections of the coronavirus (COVID-19) with 136 recorded in Lagos state alone.<\/p>\n<p>NCDC made this known via its verified website on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The new cases bring the country\u2019s total number of infections to 65,148.<\/p>\n<p>It added that the new infections were reported from seven states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), with no Coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Also, 44 new patients were successfully treated and discharged, taking the total number of people discharged to 61,073 in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The health agency said the 152 were from Lagos-136, Kano-4, Niger-3, Ekiti-2, Kaduna-2, Ogun-2, Taraba-2, and FCT-1.<\/p>\n<p>The NCDC stated that \u201ctill date, 65,148 cases have been confirmed, 61,073 patients discharged and 1,163 deaths recorded in 36 states and the FCT.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It, however, disclosed that there were 2,912 active cases across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The agency, therefore, advised Nigerians to continue to observe the COVID-19 protocols to stay safe, stressing that the COVID-19 pandemic was not over yet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lagos State has again confirmed the highest number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria.
