{"id":280950,"date":"2020-11-12T18:31:02","date_gmt":"2020-11-12T17:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=280950"},"modified":"2020-11-12T18:33:50","modified_gmt":"2020-11-12T17:33:50","slug":"medical-doctor-arraigned-over-alleged-rape-of-married-woman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=280950","title":{"rendered":"Medical doctor arraigned over alleged rape of married woman"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A medical doctor has been arraigned before a Yola Chief Magistrate for allegedly raping a married woman.<br \/>\nThe doctor who owns a private clinic and also works at the Adamawa State Specialist Hospital, Yola, allegedly raped the woman in the course of medical checks in his private clinic.<br \/>\nThe suspect, Dr Phillips Duru, came before court on Thursday, with the police prosecution specifying that the doctor perpetuated the act in the lab of his private clinic located near the state Specialist Hospital.<br \/>\nAfter preliminary hearing of the case, the presiding Magistrate, Aliyu Bawuro, adjourned further hearing to November 26.<br \/>\nThe Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, who spoke on the suspect, said the plaintiff had reported the alleged rape, prompting the police to take it up.<br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s true.
