{"id":277499,"date":"2020-11-03T16:00:57","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T15:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=277499"},"modified":"2020-11-03T16:07:28","modified_gmt":"2020-11-03T15:07:28","slug":"nigeria-police-igp-appoints-new-dig-operations-force-secretary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=277499","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria Police: IGP appoints new DIG operations, Force Secretary"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has approved the posting of Deputy Inspector General, Sanusi Lemu, and Assistant Inspector-General Usman Alkali Baba.<br \/>\nLemu is the DIG, Department of Operations, while Baba is the Acting DIG, Finance and Administration.<br \/>\nThe promotion followed the retirement of DIG Abdulmajid Ali and DIG Abduldahiru Danwawu.<br \/>\nLemu holds a BA(Ed) in Political Science and attended professional courses, including Intermediate Command Course, Senior Command Course, and Peacekeeping Training Course.<br \/>\nHe is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Jos.<br \/>\nThe Niger-born cop was Commissioner of Police, Kaduna and Bauchi Police Commands.<br \/>\nUntil now, he was the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in-charge of Zonal Headquarters (Zone-12), Bauchi.<br \/>\nBaba holds a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) and a BA(Ed) in Political Science.<br \/>\nA fellow of the National Defence College and a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, Baba has attended several professional courses\/workshops.<br \/>\nHe was at different times AIG Zone-4 Makurdi, Zone-7 Abuja, Commissioner of Police FCT and Delta Commands.<br \/>\nUntil now, the Yobe-born officer was the Force Secretary.<br \/>\nThe IGP has appointed AIG Mustapha Dandaura as the new Force Secretary and a member of the Force Management Team.<br \/>\nDandaura joined the Police on March 3, 1990. He holds a Master of Science Degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) in History from the Bayero University, Kano.<br \/>\nUntil now, he was the Force Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
