{"id":277376,"date":"2020-11-03T15:56:18","date_gmt":"2020-11-03T14:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=277376"},"modified":"2020-11-03T16:06:58","modified_gmt":"2020-11-03T15:06:58","slug":"covid-19-dont-resume-fully-yet-ogun-schools-get-advice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=277376","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Don&#8217;t resume fully yet &#8211; Ogun schools get advice"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has told primary and secondary schools in the state not to resume fully yet.<br \/>\nDAILY POST recalls that Governor Dapo Abiodun had ordered the full reopening of schools, hotels, worship centres and other establishments that were shut down as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.<br \/>\nBut in a statement by the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu, the state government clarified the earlier statement on schools\u2019 resumption, stating that, \u201cthe existing schedule remains.\u201d<br \/>\nFor the avoidance of doubt, Arigbabu stated that all government primary and secondary schools will not resume full school hours until further notice.<br \/>\nAccording to him, all public schools will continue to have their classes in phases to avoid overcrowding and to help curtail the spread of Coronavirus.<br \/>\nHe added that, \u201can additional hour has been added to the duration of stay in school for SS 3 students,\u201d saying they are to be in school from 12 Pm to 4pm\u201d in preparation for the 2020\/2021 WASSCE.\u201d\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has told primary and secondary schools in the state not to resume fully yet.
