{"id":264868,"date":"2020-10-01T17:07:50","date_gmt":"2020-10-01T16:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=264868"},"modified":"2020-10-01T17:09:33","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T16:09:33","slug":"nafdac-introduces-e-registration-justifies-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=264868","title":{"rendered":"NAFDAC introduces e-registration, justifies action"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says the agency introduced e-registration to simplify the registration exercise for its customers.<br \/>\nNAFDAC\u2019s Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, said this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.<br \/>\nShe also said the agency would embrace digitisation in carrying out its activities to reduce frequent human interaction.<br \/>\nAdeyeye noted that the reforms in the agency also involved the training of staff to meet the demands of various customers.<br \/>\nAccording to her, part of the reforms is aimed at creating a disciplined workforce geared toward service delivery.<br \/>\n\u201cOur staff do so much work on a daily basis.<br \/>\n\u201cWe go through danger, including the threat of kidnapping, and with all these, we have to have a disciplined workforce.<br \/>\n\u201cOur reform unit work round the clock, our staff have been trained, we are trying to look at the act regulating the agency and make sure we increase fines for those who violated our law.<br \/>\n\u201cNational task force against counterfeit and unregulated products is resident in NAFDAC; there are also standby policemen who follow us during investigations.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are mopping up the mess created in NAFDAC between 2011 and 2018,\u201d Adeyeye added.<br \/>\nShe further said that the agency had decentralised power to zonal offices to allow for direct interaction with customers and promote the ease of doing business initiative.<br \/>\n\u201cWe decentralized the food and simple cosmetics to the zones to allow for direct interaction with customers, she added.\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says the agency introduced e-registration to simplify the registration exercise for its customers.
