{"id":237640,"date":"2020-07-19T09:23:10","date_gmt":"2020-07-19T08:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=237640"},"modified":"2020-07-19T09:23:36","modified_gmt":"2020-07-19T08:23:36","slug":"nepotism-is-the-worst-form-of-corruption-in-nigeria-sanusi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=237640","title":{"rendered":"Nepotism is the worst form of corruption in Nigeria &#8211; Sanusi"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Muhammad Sanusi, an erstwhile Emir of Kano, has pointed out some factors fuelling corruption in Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p>Sanusi said Nigeria would continue to witness corruption if incompetent people are allowed to occupy leadership positions.<\/p>\n<p>The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, who spoke during a webinar tagged, \u2018The sustainability of society\u2019, also stated that corruption would continue in Nigeria if there is nepotism in the system.<\/p>\n<p>Sanusi stated that these factors would continue to hinder Nigeria\u2019s development and affect its progress.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cMorally and religiously speaking, corruption is a problem.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPart of the problem we have is incompetence and that is why I keep saying we must pay attention to merit.
