{"id":237389,"date":"2020-07-18T14:21:55","date_gmt":"2020-07-18T13:21:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=237389"},"modified":"2020-07-18T14:22:18","modified_gmt":"2020-07-18T13:22:18","slug":"military-kill-seven-bandits-recover-ammunitions-cattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=237389","title":{"rendered":"Military kill seven bandits, recover ammunitions, cattle"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Nigerian Army has revealed that its troops under \u2018Operation Sahel Sanity\u201d, a component of \u2018Operation Hadarin Daji\u2019, yesterday, killed seven suspected bandits.<\/p>\n<p>The attack was during a shootout at Jigawar Malamai in Dan Musa Local Government Area of Katsina State and in Garin Maza, Tamuske and Garin Bagwari villages in Sabon Birni of Sokoto State, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>A press statement signed by the Acting Director, Defence Media Operations, Brigadier-General Benard Onyeuko, and made available to newsmen in Gusau, Zamfara State, said the success recorded was during a \u2018clearance operation\u2019 conducted on suspected hideouts of the bandits which resulted to operation fire for fire between the military and the bandits.<\/p>\n<p>The statement noted that the troops deployed from \u2018Forward Operation Base\u2019\u2019 at Danjibga in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, also recovered from rustlers over 121 cows and 37 sheep, which were eventually handed over to the Committee for Recovery of Rustled Animals for further action.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said: \u201cFurthermore, troops of Defence Headquarters Special Operation Forces deployed in Batsari had a meeting engagement with some marauding armed bandits at Jigawar Mallamai in Danmusa LGA of Katsina State.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nigerian Army has revealed that its troops under \u2018Operation Sahel Sanity\u201d, a component of \u2018Operation Hadarin Daji\u2019, yesterday, killed seven suspected bandits.
