{"id":212450,"date":"2020-04-22T11:09:14","date_gmt":"2020-04-22T10:09:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=212450"},"modified":"2020-04-22T11:09:46","modified_gmt":"2020-04-22T10:09:46","slug":"lebanese-puts-nigerian-woman-up-for-sale-on-facebook-photo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=212450","title":{"rendered":"Lebanese puts Nigerian woman up for sale on Facebook [PHOTO]"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A Lebanese, identified as Jerro, on Tuesday, announced the sale of a Nigerian woman on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Jerro, who resides in Beirut Lebanon, sent in an image alongside the data page of the 30-year-old Nigerian, Peace Busari Ufuoma on a Facebook group called \u2018Buy and Sell Lebanon.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>He also placed a $1,000 bill on the domestic worker, saying the Nigerian was very active and very clean.<\/p>\n<p>DAILY POST observed that the passport, which was acquired in May 2018, indicated that the victim hails from Ibadan, Oyo State.<\/p>\n<p>The incident, which generated diverse reactions, was brought to light by an Instagram user, @thereneeabisaad, who called on the Nigerian government to save the victim.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote, \u201cThis is inhuman. I have reported to the Nigerian embassy. Please do the same if you know anyone in the Nigerian embassy in Lebanon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reacting, the Chairman, Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, while confirming the incident, on Twitter, said the case has been reported to the Nigerian mission in Lebanon, adding that a manhunt for the culprit has been launched.<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cThe Nigerian mission in Lebanon has since reported to the host authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA manhunt is on for the man and all out search for the young girl.
