{"id":205826,"date":"2020-03-30T18:54:56","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T17:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=205826"},"modified":"2020-03-30T18:54:59","modified_gmt":"2020-03-30T17:54:59","slug":"covid-19-ondo-govt-orders-total-closure-of-all-markets-food-medicine-stores-inclusive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=205826","title":{"rendered":"COVID-19: Ondo govt orders total closure of all markets, food, medicine stores inclusive"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Ondo State Government has ordered the immediate closure of all markets across the state, including the sale of food, medicine and water.<br \/>\nThe directive was in respect of the coronavirus pandemic currently ravaging the globe and the country.<br \/>\nAccording to the state government in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo, the move was part of measures to stem the spread of the COVID-19 into the state.<br \/>\nRecall that the state government had earlier ordered partial closure of markets across the state with the exception of life saving items such as food, water and medicines.<br \/>\nThe Commissioner stated that \u201cit has been observed however, that residents have flagrantly disobeyed this directive which is a potent measure to forestall the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.<br \/>\n\u201cCompelled by this unwholesome infraction, Government hereby places a total ban on all markets across Ondo State with effect from Tuesday, 31st March, 2020. This ban is irrespective of any item.
