{"id":204812,"date":"2020-03-26T18:09:35","date_gmt":"2020-03-26T17:09:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=204812"},"modified":"2020-03-26T18:09:38","modified_gmt":"2020-03-26T17:09:38","slug":"efcc-uncovers-35-illegal-lottery-business-operators-in-nigeria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=204812","title":{"rendered":"EFCC uncovers 35 illegal lottery business operators in Nigeria"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has announced the discovery of illegal lottery business operators.<br \/>\nThe agency said they do not have core licenses or permits to operate.<br \/>\nThis was contained in a statement on Thursday by EFCC spokesman, Tony Orilade.<br \/>\nThe names were unraveled during an investigation supported by the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, NLRC, based on request from the EFCC.<br \/>\nThey are: Emerald Bets International Limited (Emerald Bet), Saharabets Sports Ltd (Surebet247), Bimm Entertainment Ltd (Easy Bet), Champion Superbet (Superbet), EbonyBet, 360Bets Limited, Bet Now Global Business Services Limited, Caryle Investment Limited (BetMunster), Camlake Limited (Wakabet) and West Africa Betting Company Limited (PMUbet).<br \/>\nOthers are Playwin International Limited (RukkaBet), Ana Lottery Ltd, ParknBet Champion Bookmakers. Nig. Limited, Space Gaming, Fane Int\u2019l Sports Tour Limited (First Fane Sports), Zandalex Int\u2019l Nigeria Limited, Gidi Games, Uwin Bets Limited, Megawin Bets Limited, Vertical Bets and Gaming Limited, Smart Bet Limited (Power Bet), EasyGold Network (Awoof Bet), Melbet and 22Bet.<br \/>\nSome others who were discovered to be operating illegally include: LovingBet, LionBet, NetBet, Nairapower Bet, SupaBet, SportBet, KorectWin, 2SureBet, Betwin9ja and Western Sportbet Nigeria Limited.<br \/>\nThe statement added that only 21 licensed operators and 18 companies with permits from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, NLRC, currently operate in the country.<br \/>\n\u201cThose hitherto operating illegally, in contravention of the relevant laws and guidelines would, henceforth, face the full wrath of the law as investigation is ongoing on their illegal activities\u201d, it added.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has announced the discovery of illegal lottery business operators.
