{"id":203658,"date":"2020-03-22T15:39:25","date_gmt":"2020-03-22T14:39:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=203658"},"modified":"2020-03-22T15:39:39","modified_gmt":"2020-03-22T14:39:39","slug":"drama-as-bride-collapses-after-groom-walks-out-of-wedding-in-jos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=203658","title":{"rendered":"Drama as bride collapses after groom walks out of wedding in Jos"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A mild drama ensued on Saturday after one Mr Rufus Aplang, left guests and worshippers in shock when he walked out of church during his wedding and abandoned his supposed bride, Judith, in Plateau State.<br \/>\nAplang fled the God\u2019s Glory Ministry, Jos, venue of the wedding, when it was time to take the wedding vow on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>According to NAN, his action threw family members, friends, colleagues and associates into wild confusion.<br \/>\nAplang, was quoted allegedly to have said before walking out of the Church that he had planned 10 years ago to disgrace his supposed bride on their wedding day.<\/p>\n<p>An eyewitness, Miss Julian Dogo, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Jos, that the fleeing groom gave shocking answers to the pastor while he was taking his marital vows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAplang was asked on the altar by the pastor, do you take Judith as your wife for batter for worse? Then he replied with a No.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pastor put the same question to him, and he replied, \u2018Pastor, I heard you clearly, and understand English very well and my answer is still No\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen the pastor said to him, but you are well dressed and came ready for this wedding, and he replied, \u2018sorry, I made up my mind 10 years ago to disgrace her on our wedding day\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs soon as he said that, he walked out of the church, and was followed by his best man and his friends who drove out of the church premises,\u201dDogo told NAN<\/p>\n<p>However Judith, the supposed bride, collapsed inside the church and was taken to an disclosed hospital around Plateau State Polytechnic in Jos<br \/>\nSpeaking to NAN, Mr. Peter Sani, best man to Aplang, described it as very \u201cembarrassing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He attributed his friend\u2019s behaviour to some sort of diabolism, adding that the action was not ordinary.<br \/>\n\u201cAplang is my childhood friend, Judith has been a friend and sister too, and he dated her for over 12 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was in the church to serve as a best man, and also as a fulfilled man to witness their wedding, but I was shocked and highly disappointed with what happened in the church today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is not ordinary; Aplang will always confide in me on any issue, if he had the plan to walk out on the altar he would have told me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened today is unimaginable, I came out of the church weeping profusely,\u201d he added.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A mild drama ensued on Saturday after one Mr Rufus Aplang, left guests and worshippers in shock when he walked out of church during his wedding and abandoned his supposed bride, Judith, in Plateau State.
