{"id":202077,"date":"2020-03-17T13:17:54","date_gmt":"2020-03-17T12:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=202077"},"modified":"2020-03-17T13:20:10","modified_gmt":"2020-03-17T12:20:10","slug":"fg-hiding-truth-behind-lagos-explosion-fani-kayode-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=202077","title":{"rendered":"FG hiding truth behind Lagos explosion &#8211; Fani-Kayode claims"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has queried the federal government over the cause of Abule-Ado explosion which happened on Sunday morning.<br \/>\nDAILY POST reported that the explosion claimed 17 lives including that of the Principal, Bethlehem Catholic School who died while rescuing trapped students.<br \/>\nNNPC Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Kennie Obateru, in a statement on Sunday evening said the explosion was as a result of gas explosion.<br \/>\nHe disclosed that after investigations, NNPC, found that a truck hit some gas cylinders stacked in a gas processing plant located near the corporation\u2019s system 2B Pipeline Right of Way which resulted in the explosion.<br \/>\nBut, Fani-Kayode, reacting to the explosion said he does not believe federal government claims about the explosion.<br \/>\nHe claimed that government may have hidden the truth behind the explosion in order to avoid panic among Nigerians.<br \/>\nThe former minister: \u201cI find it hard to believe ANYTHING that the federal government claims was the cause of the Abule Ado explosion.<br \/>\n\u201cThe SCOAN bombing in 2013 and the bombing of the Bellview plane in 2005, both of which were covered up, taught me that much.<br \/>\n\u201cTo avoid panic, federal government always hides the truth in such matters.Sad!\u201d<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has queried the federal government over the cause of Abule-Ado explosion which happened on Sunday morning.
