{"id":200878,"date":"2020-03-12T11:10:12","date_gmt":"2020-03-12T10:10:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=200878"},"modified":"2020-03-12T11:41:56","modified_gmt":"2020-03-12T10:41:56","slug":"man-in-court-for-allegedly-stabbing-neighbour-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=200878","title":{"rendered":"Man in court for allegedly stabbing neighbour to death"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">A Chief Magistrates\u2019 Court in Yaba, Lagos on Wednesday ordered that a 27-year-old carpenter, Idowu Tajudeen, who allegedly stabbed his neighbour to death with a kitchen knife during an argument, be remanded in Ikoyi Custodial Centre.<br \/>\nNAN reports that the Chief Magistrate Oluwatoyin Oghre, who gave the order, did not take the plea of Tajudeen, who is charged with murder.<br \/>\nShe ordered that the case file be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.<br \/>\nMagistrate Oghre adjourned the case until July 28.<br \/>\nEarlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Modupe Olaluwoye, told the court that Tajudeen committed the offence at 7.20p.m. on March 2, at Temu village in Epe area of Lagos.<br \/>\nOlaluwoye alleged that Tajudeen stabbed the deceased, Mr Garba Dauda, during an argument.<br \/>\nHe said that the deceased died on the way to the hospital and was confirmed dead by a doctor at the hospital.<br \/>\nThe offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 222 and is punishable under Section 223 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Chief Magistrates\u2019 Court in Yaba, Lagos on Wednesday ordered that a 27-year-old carpenter, Idowu Tajudeen, who allegedly stabbed his neighbour to death with a kitchen knife during an argument, be remanded in Ikoyi Custodial Centre.
