{"id":200013,"date":"2020-03-09T11:45:13","date_gmt":"2020-03-09T10:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=200013"},"modified":"2020-03-09T11:50:02","modified_gmt":"2020-03-09T10:50:02","slug":"buhari-oyedepo-the-same-nigerians-react","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=200013","title":{"rendered":"Buhari, Oyedepo the same &#8211; Nigerians react"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>A cross section of Nigerians has reacted to the latest backlash by Bishop David Oyedepo of the Winners Chapel against President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n<p>Oyedepo, during Sunday service described Buhari\u2019s government as the worst in Nigeria\u2019s history and a curse to the nation.<\/p>\n<p>The cleric who has been a staunch critic of Buhari\u2019s government said the president\u2019s days were numbered even as he lamented again about the hate speech bill.<\/p>\n<p>Oyedepo stressed that Buhari\u2019s government has no direction for Nigeria as a whole.<\/p>\n<p>His statement has since stirred reactions from Nigerians on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Some Nigerians backed Oyedepo on his statement about the state of the nation even as others described the cleric as being political and part of the opposition party, PDP.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some comments gathered by DAILY POST from Twitte\u2026<\/p>\n<p>@D_davidyatta \u201cDoes Oyedepo find time to preach the Word of God with all the attention he spends on politics and Buhari..<br \/>\nPeople in Winners, are you guys still in a church or PDP annex.Will none of his sons\/daughters send him an anonymous letter, calling back from the edge of madness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>@King_modulusi \u201cWhen they fail to speak up against government you will still complain. Hypocrites everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>@_papilo_ \u201cYou all can hate Bishop Oyedepo for all I care, but he\u2019s never shying away from telling the government the truth! You all hate him because your favorite G.Os are scared cos of the benefits they receive from the government and easy access to Aso Rock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>@Iamroyaltea1 \u201cIt is only in Nigeria that someone will speak up and pple will be slamming him for speaking up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe(Oyedepo) is saying the truth\/fact that the Buhari regime is the worst thing that has happened to Nigeria.You\u2019re slamming him and in your heart you agree.Your brain is not working.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>@Mobamz_ \u201cYou all slamming Bishop David Oyedepo are just confused human beings.
