{"id":199542,"date":"2020-03-07T13:57:39","date_gmt":"2020-03-07T12:57:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=199542"},"modified":"2020-03-07T13:58:17","modified_gmt":"2020-03-07T12:58:17","slug":"man-utd-goalkeeper-banned-for-six-matches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=199542","title":{"rendered":"Man Utd goalkeeper banned for six matches"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Manchester United goalkeeper, Kieran O\u2019Hara, has been handed a six-match ban for biting an opponent.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Hara, who is on loan at Burton Albion, has also been fined \u00a32,500.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened following their 1-1 draw with Peterborough last month.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Hara is alleged to have bitten the arm of Peterborough forward Sammie Szmodics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn independent Regulatory Commission has suspended Kieran O\u2019Hara for six matches with immediate effect and fined him \u00a32,500 for a breach of FA Rule E3.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Burton Albion goalkeeper denied that his behaviour during the 44th minute of an EFL League One fixture against Peterborough United on Saturday 29 February 2020 amounted to violent and\/or improper conduct but the charge was subsequently found proven.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe independent Regulatory Commission\u2019s written reasons will be published in due course,\u201d the FA said in a statement Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>The ban is with immediate effect, which means O\u2019Hara will not play until April.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester United goalkeeper, Kieran O\u2019Hara, has been handed a six-match ban for biting an opponent.
