{"id":195301,"date":"2020-02-20T19:54:59","date_gmt":"2020-02-20T18:54:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=195301"},"modified":"2020-02-20T20:06:16","modified_gmt":"2020-02-20T19:06:16","slug":"police-kill-notorious-kidnapper-arrest-another-in-katsina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=195301","title":{"rendered":"Police kill notorious kidnapper, arrest another in Katsina"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Police in Katsina State have killed an alleged notorious kidnapper, one Abubakar Nayabale.<\/p>\n<p>The Katsina Police command said it also arrested one Tanimu Salisu an associate of the dead Nayabale in Kurfi Local Government Area of the state.<br \/>\nSP Gambo Isah, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday in Katsina.<\/p>\n<p>He said \u201cOn 17\/02\/2020 at about 15:00hrs, bandits numbering eight on motorbikes, armed with AK 47 rifles attacked Kumare village, Kurfi local government area of Katsina State, began shooting sporadically and kidnapped a 55-year-old, Yahaya Tella.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOperation Puff Adder, led by the DPO Kurfi, in collaboration with Vigilante group swiftly responded to the scene and engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team succeeded in killing one Abubakar Nayabale, a notorious bandit, arrested another one, Tanimu Salisu, of Zakka village, Safana local government area of Katsina state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team rescued the victim and recovered two Boxer motorcycles from the bandits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Isah, a member of the vigilante in the community lost his life during the encounter, NAN reports.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Police in Katsina State have killed an alleged notorious kidnapper, one Abubakar Nayabale.
