{"id":191673,"date":"2020-02-06T19:31:42","date_gmt":"2020-02-06T18:31:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=191673"},"modified":"2020-02-06T19:37:03","modified_gmt":"2020-02-06T18:37:03","slug":"spartacus-actor-kirk-doughlas-is-dead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=191673","title":{"rendered":"Spartacus actor, Kirk Doughlas is dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Popular Hollywood legend and Actor, Kirk Douglas is dead.<\/p>\n<p>The stage and screen actor was well-known for his role in the 1960 classic Spartacus and died at the age of 103.<\/p>\n<p>His death was confirmed in a statement by his son, Oscar-winning actor, Michael Douglas.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read, \u201cIt is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo everyone, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies but to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was simply Dad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Douglas who was born in New York in 1916, rose to prominence during Hollywood\u2019s \u201cgolden age\u201d. He also earned his first Oscar nomination for the 1949 film Champion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet me end with the words I told him on his last birthday and which will always remain true.
