{"id":188192,"date":"2020-01-26T16:06:41","date_gmt":"2020-01-26T15:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=188192"},"modified":"2020-01-26T16:11:00","modified_gmt":"2020-01-26T15:11:00","slug":"boko-haram-ahmed-salkida-confirms-leah-sharibu-now-a-mother","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=188192","title":{"rendered":"Boko Haram: Ahmed Salkida confirms Leah Sharibu now a mother"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>Ahmed Salkida, a journalist, who has access to Boko Haram has confirmed that aducted Dapchi schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu has given birth.<\/p>\n<p>Recall that Boko Haram had abducted Sharibu from the Government Science Secondary School, Dapchi, Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe State, on February 19, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>However, reports emerged on Saturday night that Leah was forcefully converted to Islam and married off to a top Boko Haram Commander.<\/p>\n<p>She was also reported to have been delivered of the baby a few weeks ago following her forceful marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the news, Salkida in a post on his Twitter page said Sharibu is now a mother.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, failed to disclose the gender of the child.<\/p>\n<p>Salkida wrote: \u201cWhy, I wonder, do we pretend that leaving Leah behind won\u2019t result in pregnancy?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince the terror group announced condemning her to slavery, is there any step or collective focus on preventing similar occurrences?
