{"id":185270,"date":"2020-01-16T12:26:53","date_gmt":"2020-01-16T11:26:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=185270"},"modified":"2020-01-16T12:53:15","modified_gmt":"2020-01-16T11:53:15","slug":"nysc-issues-stern-warning-to-service-evasion-offenders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=185270","title":{"rendered":"NYSC issues stern warning to service evasion offenders"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a stern warning to corps members who have the habit of avoiding or stalling their service year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), those who fail to report for service in the Service Corps in the manner directed by the Directorate \u201dis guilty of an offence and liable on Conviction to a fine of N2000.00 or to imprisonment for a term of 12 months, or to both such fine and imprisonment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This was made known in a statement released on their twitter account on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read: \u201dThis is to inform all eligible Nigerian graduates that NYSC Management has recently commenced the process of prosecuting mobilized graduates who willfully failed to turn up for National Service especially during.. 2019 Batch \u2018C\u2019 Service Year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThe decision is in compliance with Section 13 (1) (a) of the NYSC Act which stipulates that any person who fails to report for service in the Service Corps in the manner directed by the Directorate or as the case may be prescribed pursuant to the provisions of this Act\u2026\u201d is guilty of an offence and liable on Conviction to a fine of N2000.00 or to imprisonment for a term of 12 months, or to both such fine and imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dAccording, Management hereby magnanimously gives all 2019 Batch \u2018C\u2019 mobilized graduates who fails to turn up for service to, revalidate their call up instruments as soon as the portal opens for 2020 Batch \u2018A\u2019 registration, or risk the application of the full weight of the law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThis notice serves as a final warning and you are please advised to abide by it\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued a stern warning to corps members who have the habit of avoiding or stalling their service year.
