{"id":182987,"date":"2020-01-09T12:07:47","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T10:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=182987"},"modified":"2020-01-09T11:10:49","modified_gmt":"2020-01-09T10:10:49","slug":"herdsmen-vs-farmers-miyetti-allah-bans-night-grazing-of-cattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=182987","title":{"rendered":"Herdsmen vs farmers: Miyetti Allah bans night grazing of cattle"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">\n<p>The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has taken some serious measures to put an end to the persistent crisis between herdsmen and farmers across the country.<\/p>\n<p>MACBAN placed a ban on night grazing by cattle nationwide as part of measures to put an end to the crisis.<\/p>\n<p>This was disclosed by MACBAN\u2019s National Secretary, Baba Uthman, while addressing journalists after the association\u2019s Annual General Meeting in Damaturu, Yobe State, yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Uthman explained that the decision would be communicated to every member of the group, including those at the grassroots.<\/p>\n<p>He also disclosed that a ban has been placed on grazing by minors and hawking of milk by teenage girls.<\/p>\n<p>Uthman said these are the causes of cultural abuse and poses dangers to the underage.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cThis is a decision that has been taken by the highest decision-making body of the association.
