{"id":177574,"date":"2019-12-20T15:23:02","date_gmt":"2019-12-20T14:23:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=177574"},"modified":"2019-12-20T15:37:01","modified_gmt":"2019-12-20T14:37:01","slug":"efcc-begins-auction-of-244-forfeited-vehicles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=177574","title":{"rendered":"EFCC Begins Auction Of 244 Forfeited Vehicles"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2019\/12\/EFCC-Begins-Auction-Of-244-Forfeited-Vehicles.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"container container-pod container-pod-short\"><span class=\"adunit-parent hide block-module block-module-ad block-module-ad-300x250\"><span class=\"block-module-image-wrapper\"><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has commenced processes involved in the auctioning of 244 vehicles forfeited to the Nigerian Government by illegal oil dealers.<br \/>\nThe exercise was flagged-off  on Thursday,by the commission\u2019s secretary, Ola Olukoyede, together with a team of senior officers of the anti-graft agency.<br \/>\nThe initial auctioning processes took off at the premises of the Police Officers Wives Association open ground in the old Government Reservation Area, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.<br \/>\nThe processes involved allocation of bidding slots to registered auctioneers.<br \/>\nRepresentatives of all shortlisted auctioneers were present to pick slots from an open container publicly displayed at the POWA\u2019s open ground.<br \/>\nThe vehicles being publicly auctioned were forfeited to the government through the ruling of a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.<br \/>\nThe forfeiture order was granted by Justice I.
