{"id":177221,"date":"2019-12-19T14:15:16","date_gmt":"2019-12-19T13:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=177221"},"modified":"2019-12-19T14:15:47","modified_gmt":"2019-12-19T13:15:47","slug":"jamb-halts-n100m-allocation-to-state-offices-give-reasons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=177221","title":{"rendered":"JAMB halts N100m allocation to state offices, give reasons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2019\/12\/JAMB-halts-N100m-allocation-to-state-offices-give-reasons.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, on Wednesday, said the board would no longer give the usual N100 million to its state offices.<\/p>\n<p>Oloyede made the disclosure at the opening of a two-day meeting with Computer Based Test (CBT) centres, Technical Advisors, Service Providers such as MTN, Airtel, Galaxy Backbone and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting was held at Kongo Conference Hotel, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.<\/p>\n<p>Oloyede said: \u201cYou may recollect that since 2016, we do give at least N100m to state offices for one thing or the other. We want to tell you that this year; no kobo will be released for anybody for anything because those who are running private CBC centres are making a profit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd if they can make a profit, paying their salaries and doing other things. We are paying salaries of all staff and in addition, we still take care of offices through quarterly allocation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started last year to see how much you bring in, henceforth; I will not go into government coffers to give you money.
