{"id":177199,"date":"2019-12-19T14:18:46","date_gmt":"2019-12-19T13:18:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=177199"},"modified":"2019-12-19T14:19:08","modified_gmt":"2019-12-19T13:19:08","slug":"truck-crushes-2-to-death-injures-1-in-benin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=177199","title":{"rendered":"Truck crushes 2 to death, injures 1 in Benin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2019\/12\/Truck-crushes-2-to-death-injures-1-in-Benin.jpg\">The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) on Wednesday confirmed that two persons died, while one person sustained injuries in an accident along Benin-Ore Expressway.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Sonde Idowu, Ijebu-Ode Unit Commander of TRACE, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the accident, which occurred at about 4.51p.m., involved a truck and motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, a truck with registration number AAB 052 VQ, lost control due to speeding and hit a motorcyclist and the two passengers on the bike.<\/p>\n<p>He said the two male passengers on the motorcycle died instantly, while the motorcyclist rider sustained injuries in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe corpses of the victims have been deposited at General Hospital, Ijebu-Ode while the injured person was taken to Araya Hospital, Ijebu-Ode for treatment.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the TRACE and FRSC officials had cleared the highway to ease the free flow of traffic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) on Wednesday confirmed that two persons died, while one person sustained injuries in an accident along Benin-Ore Expressway.
