{"id":176304,"date":"2019-12-16T12:50:15","date_gmt":"2019-12-16T11:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=176304"},"modified":"2019-12-16T12:53:10","modified_gmt":"2019-12-16T11:53:10","slug":"epl-de-bruyne-reveals-who-to-blame-for-arsenals-3-0-loss-to-man-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=176304","title":{"rendered":"EPL: De Bruyne reveals who to blame for Arsenal\u2019s 3-0 loss to Man City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/storage\/2019\/12\/EPL-De-Bruyne-reveals-who-to-blame-for-Arsenal\u2019s-3-0.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">Manchester City playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne has blamed Arsenal\u2019s attackers following the Gunners\u2019 3-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola\u2019s side in the Premier League on Sunday at the Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>De Bruyne believes the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Nicolas Pepe failed to help out defensively when Freddie Ljungberg\u2019s men did not have the ball.<\/p>\n<p>Two goals from Kevin De Bruyne and a strike from Raheem Sterling gave Man City all three points against Arsenal.<\/p>\n<p>Asked if he was surprised by Arsenal giving City\u2019s attackers so much space, De Bruyne was quoted by Metro UK as saying: \u201cWe saw up front in the videos\u2026 the attackers they try to press up but when we pass their front four they really don\u2019t help the Arsenal defence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo they always stay with four players [Aubameyang, Ozil and Pepe] up front, except [Gabriel] Martinelli who comes [back] a little bit more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we always get spaces somewhere over the pitch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s really difficult for the six defenders to control that because obviously you can come from everywhere on the pitch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they left some open spaces and we exploited them really well.
