Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho has refused to talk about the contract situation of Spurs three key players, Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen who are set to leave the club in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST had reported that Eriksen, Alderweireld and Vertonghen are among the four players set to leave Tottenham next year.<\/p>\n

The trio\u2019s current deal at Tottenham will expire at the end of the season but Mourinho has now confirmed that he\u2019s speaking with both the club\u2019s president, Daniel Levy and the players to resolve the differences.<\/p>\n

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Tottenham\u2019s clash with Man United on Wednesday night, Mourinho said: \u201cI\u2019m not going to discuss these individual things. If I tell you that I didn\u2019t speak with Mr [Daniel] Levy about Eriksen, Alderweireld and Vertonghen, I would be lying. So, yes I\u2019m speaking to Mr Levy about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the same time, I also speak with the players, with all of them. We speak and try to understand every detail but it\u2019s not something I\u2019m going to discuss.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe important thing, really, is [they are] great professionals, big relationship with Tottenham, amazing understanding of what the club is and what we need from them.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, all three ready to play, all three ready to forget the contractual situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that\u2019s the most important thing now because we\u2019re in three competitions. And these boys are great players and Tottenham people. I trust them.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
