<\/p>\nDAILY POST had reported that, Olayinde Lawal, the returning officer of the election, declared Adeyemi winner at the end of the rerun on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The APC candidate got 88,373 votes to defeat Dino Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), his closest challenger, who polled 62,133 votes.<\/p>\n
Reacting, some Nigerians on social media blamed Dino\u2019s arrogance and pride for his loss, while others said the election was rigged.<\/p>\n
