{"id":168668,"date":"2019-11-18T11:20:11","date_gmt":"2019-11-18T10:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=168668"},"modified":"2019-11-18T11:20:42","modified_gmt":"2019-11-18T10:20:42","slug":"kogi-election-inec-confirms-death-of-electoral-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=168668","title":{"rendered":"Kogi election: INEC confirms death of electoral officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/INEC-speaks-on-resignation-of-ICT-Director-of-2019-election-result-server.jpg\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\">The Kogi State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Prof. James Apam, on Sunday, confirmed the death of an ad-hoc Electoral Officer (EO).<\/p>\n<p>The deceased (names withheld) and others were involved in a boat accident in Ibaji Local Government Area on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The REC disclosed that the ad-hoc staff was a student of the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEfforts are on to convey the body of the deceased ad-hoc staff to Lokoja\u201d, Apam told newsmen.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, further announcement of the results of the governorship election in Kogi will resume 9 a.m. on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The postponement was necessitated by the non-arrival of the results from the Lokoja and Ibaji Local Government Areas.<\/p>\n<p>The incumbent Gov.
