{"id":167387,"date":"2021-12-27T08:48:30","date_gmt":"2021-12-27T07:48:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=167387"},"modified":"2021-12-27T08:49:03","modified_gmt":"2021-12-27T07:49:03","slug":"army-begins-operation-crocodile-smile-in-ondo-to-curb-kidnapping-others","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=167387","title":{"rendered":"Army Begins \u2018Operation Crocodile Smile\u2019 In Ondo To Curb Kidnapping, Others"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-jpeg view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Buhari-Hints-On-Possible-Changes-In-Military.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigeria Army on Tuesday said it had commenced a field training exercise that will nib in the bud all security challenges in Ondo State.<\/p>\n<p>The training tagged &#8220;Exercise Crocodile Smile IV&#8221; was also part of the move by the Nigerian Army to rise against security threats and civil disobedience in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Major Victor Olukoya, disclosed in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Olukoya noted that the exercise was also in tandem with the constitutional role of the army to aid civil authority.<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that the exercise, which began since November 8, would end by December 23, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cThe exercise will be conducted in conjunction with other security agencies to further sustain the existing synergy between the Nigerian Army and other sister agencies in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a military exercise aimed at curbing various security threats such as kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, pipeline vandalism, hooliganism, and banditry.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe exercise which is people-oriented shall be conducted in line with the Nigerian Army rules of engagement and code of conduct, guiding exercises of this nature.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He the inauguration of the exercise would take place at the Brigade Super Camp on Lawyer Oke Street, Okitipupa, Ondo State.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigeria Army on Tuesday said it had commenced a field training exercise that will nib in the bud all security challenges in Ondo State.
