{"id":161236,"date":"2019-10-18T15:30:18","date_gmt":"2019-10-18T14:30:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=161236"},"modified":"2019-10-18T15:30:42","modified_gmt":"2019-10-18T14:30:42","slug":"five-persons-burnt-to-death-in-ondo-motor-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arewa.ng\/?p=161236","title":{"rendered":"Five persons burnt to death in Ondo motor accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span class=\"ds-1col file file-image file-image-png view-mode-embedded centered clearfix block-story-object block-story-object-resource block-story-object-resource-image\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"block-story-object-asset\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-embedded\" typeof=\"foaf:Image\" src=\"http:\/\/arewa.ng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Five-Persons-Burnt-To-Death-In-Ondo-Motor-Accident.png\" alt=\"\"><\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Five persons were on Thursday burnt to death in a fatal motor accident that occurred in Ondo State.<\/p>\n<p>The accident involved a Toyota bus with registration number MKD 341 XA and a J5 bus marked BDG 330 AP.<\/p>\n<p>An eyewitness, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent in Akure, the state capital, said the accident was allegedly caused by speed limit violation by the drivers.<\/p>\n<p>The witness said, \u201cFive persons were burnt beyond recognition in the accident while 14 other victims were rushed to the hospital with very serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe accident occurred at the Oyoyo Camp around Ipele in Owo Local Government Area of the state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the accident, Head of Operations of Federal Road Safety Corp in Ondo, Olusegun Ogungbemide, attributed the crash to overtaking.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cUnfortunately, the two vehicles had head-on collision and immediately erupted in flames, burning the occupants beyond recognition.\u201d<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five persons were on Thursday burnt to death in a fatal motor accident that occurred in Ondo State.
